The Office of the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation has requested that a hearing be scheduled in the legal case filed against Moïse Katumbi Chapwe. The former governor of Katanga is being prosecuted for alleged incidents that took place in Lubumbashi and Kinshasa.

This proceeding follows a complaint filed by Raphaël Katebe Katoto, who accuses Katumbi of having deprived him of several properties:

• the residences in Mulonde, Lofoi No. 22, and Kashobwe
• the farms in Futuka and Munguzi

For its part, the Katumbi camp denounces a political witch hunt orchestrated by the regime of Félix Tshisekedi. According to those close to him, Tshisekedi is using Raphaël Katebe Katoto just as he had been used by the Kabila camp in the past to try to destabilize the former governor.
