A self-proclaimed Christian president, but a bloodthirsty criminal

Félix Tshisekedi Tshilombo, who came to power through an African-style compromise after the December 2018 elections, quickly grasped one thing: the Congolese people's susceptibility to demagoguery, manipulation and lies.

“Before long, he staged a religious service at the Stade des Martyrs de la Pentecôte in Kinshasa, the very place where political figures, among them Évariste Kimba, the Katangese Lubakat, were hanged in public and without due process, at a time when Étienne Tshisekedi, Félix Tshisekedi's father, was Minister of Justice.”
“Félix Tshisekedi is a cunning manipulator and a liar. Since 2019, he has lurched from one scandal to the next over the embezzlement of public funds. Most recently, Belgian prosecutors carried out searches at the family's residences in Brussels, in the very country where he and his relatives are said to hide their loot. It is worth noting that members of the Tshisekedi family have kept their Belgian nationality.”

Félix Tshilombo Tshisekedi has exploited religion to excess, leaning heavily on the Églises de réveil du Congo (ERC), known for their pliability in the face of corruption and manipulation, as well as on other faith groups, with the exception of the Church of Christ in Congo (ECC) and the Catholic Church.

“From the very start of his term, Félix Tshisekedi set a bloodthirsty, criminal tone. Soon after taking office, he had General Delphin Kahimbi assassinated, followed by several young "Wazalendo" sect members in Goma, several hundred inmates at Makala prison, Chérubin Okende Senga and a number of young Katangese, not to mention hundreds of Congolese Tutsis in North and South Kivu.”

The Congolese people are urged to be extremely vigilant, and to rise up in a patriotic awakening. We at Daraja-Média also take this opportunity to inform you that our patriotic work for a Congo that belongs to us, a well-governed Congo, is facing a campaign of blackmail, threats and more from those who brand us "Rwandans" because we promote coexistence and peaceful relations between the peoples of the Great Lakes region.

“Nothing will weaken our resolve, and being branded a traitor or a "Rwandan" will never be a source of shame for us. We are Congolese and proud of it; we are equally proud to champion democracy and good governance in our country, the DRC. Copying Rwanda's economic reforms and political resilience will never be a weakness: when your brother does better than you, emulating him is a sign of greatness, not weakness.”
“So far, Félix Tshisekedi has shown nothing but bad faith. He sabotaged the Washington accords with Rwanda, choosing to pour millions of dollars into lobbying and corruption rather than implement the agreement's provisions, chiefly the neutralisation of the FDLR.”

He has likewise sabotaged every resolution to emerge from the Qatari-brokered talks in Doha (yes, the Doha process), not to mention the other initiatives launched by the African Union. All the while, he keeps killing and jailing opponents and launching deadly offensives in both Kivus, and he calls himself a Christian.
