CAF Champions League: TP Mazembe crows seal progress to next round

TP Mazembe of Lubumbashi secured a 3-1 victory over Medeama SC on 12 September 2026 at the Stade de Kamalondo, booking their place in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

The win was spearheaded by a brace from Patrick Mwaungulu (3rd, 76th minutes) and a header by Kazema Baso (19th minute).

Carrying a positive result from the first leg, Mazembe triumphed 4-1 on aggregate to advance. The club thus reaffirmed their continental ambitions as they continue their quest for another African crown.

Tout-Puissant Mazembe will now face Tunisia's Club Africain in the second preliminary round for a place in the group stage.
